Over the last 15 years I have personally helped many young people to lift themselves out of the hole of not being able to get the education to improve their chances of finding work or a good position. I have done this here in Vietnam and the Philippines. These people I have personally met while holidaying in these countries. It has not only been financial support that I have given them but advise and assistance with their education i.e. English as I have graduated  in TESOL , TEFL, TESL Reg. No. 002486 from the AUSTRALASIAN TRAINING ACADEMY to Teach English to Speakers of other Languages. This has given me great pleasure to see the smiles on their faces when they succeed.

Three years ago I started to think of ways of increasing the number of people, and to have a better chance of actually being closer to them for more support. I finally came up with the idea of a Tour Company as this will enable me stay longer in Vietnam to start with, also many of these young people like the freedom of the out door life style and have had dealings with tourists in some form like selling Postcards and Books. I have just brought a share in I Love Vietnam Travel Co-op.

With I Love Vietnam Travel Co-op I intend to divert a share of the profits that I receive to the underprivileged “Street kids, the young adults, and remote children.” When the profits are minimal I will divert 10% as I need to live as well.  If these profits increase so will the percentage.

The other shareholders are as keen on this idea as I am and for it to succeed. The funds will go to the education of the young, i.e.: Basic schooling, learning English,  Tour Guide and Management Courses, Cooking or Hospitality Courses, even as far as Tailoring courses. It will not be restricted to just the Tourism industry. Also we want to help build schools for the remote children, as we know the difficulties faced with remote locations.
