Hanoi – Sa pa – Ba Ha – Ha Long – Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Ha Noi - Hue – DMZ – Hue – Hoi An – Danang – Saigon  – Mekong Delta - Saigon
(20 Days/ 19 Night)

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival: (D)
When you arrive at Noi Bai Air-port (Ha Noi), you will be picked -up and transferred to the hotel for check-in. Rest of your day is at your leisure. In the evening, you will enjoy the traditional water puppet show. Over night in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi City tour: (B, L)
The full day city tour will show you Ho Chi Minh’s Residence and Mausoleum, the famous One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. After lunch we visit the Ethnology Museum and enjoy a cyclo tour in the Old Quarter teeming with streets filled with fascinating shops and life styles. Over night in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi: (B)
Full day free as leisure. In the evening, we will take the night train to Lao Cai. Over night on train.

Day 4: Sa Pa – Lao Chai –Ta Van: (B, L, D)
The train arrives in Lao Cai early in the morning (around 6:00 am). You will be woken up and picked up for a drive to Sapa. After refreshing and breakfast in the hotel you will have about 6 km trek down the valley to the village of Lao Chai. After a picnic lunch by a natural waterfall, we will continue trekking around to Ta Van area.  Here you will have dinner and interact with the local hill tribes. You will have a unique experience to sleep in a house of the hill tribe people.

Day 5: Ta Van – Sa Pa Market: (B)
Leaving Ta Van, we continue trekking to Giang Ta Chai. This is a village isolated by high mountains, big waterfalls and thick forests. Have lunch, take a look at several local houses on the way and interact with the minority people who live here. Then on to the main road for a jeep ride back to Sapa.
Of course you make a visit to the local colorful market in Sapa at night. Over night in the hotel.

Day 6: Sa Pa – Bac Ha: (B, L, D)
Today we take an early depart. After breakfast, we take the car to Bac Ha. Enjoy spectacular views along the way. Arrive at Bac Ha by 9:00 am. Relax and explore the most colorful market where all seven different hill tribes converge from the surrounding countryside to sell their embroidery, silverware and handicrafts and to buy provisions.
It is the most colorful market in the region. Back to Lao Cai railway station by bus in the afternoon for the night train back to Hanoi.

Day 7: Hanoi:
Train arrivals in Ha Noi in morning. You will take the taxi to your hotel, have breakfast and relax until check-in time. The rest of the day you are free to explore Hanoi on your own. Over night in Ha Noi.

Day 8: Hanoi – Ha Long: (B, L, D)


The road to Ha Long will lead you through the magnificent landscape of the Red River Delta. From Ha Long you will go for a boat trip through the World Heritage site of Ha Long Bay. The stunning views, limestone caves, offshore islets, sea-bathing on board and the delicious lunch will make this a remarkable trip. Dinner with a wonderful sunset. Relax and over night on board.

Day 9: Ha Long – Hanoi: (B, L)
We continue cruising on the bay until just before lunch when we dock again at Ha Long City. Our coach will meet us and take us to the restaurant for lunch then return us to our hotel in Hanoi for your relaxation.

Day 10: Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Hanoi: (B, L)

Breakfast. Depart for Ninh Binh. Boat ride to Tam Coc. Lunch. Visit to Hoa Lu - an ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century. Visit to Dinh and Le Temples. Back to Hanoi. Over night in Ha Noi.

Day 11: Hanoi – Hue: (B)
Today is relaxing day so you can go shopping in the Old Quarter, deep in Hanoi culinary culture or just relax until the time to go to the Train station in the late afternoon for the over night Train to Hue. Over night on the train with soft sleeper.

Day 12: Hue - City tour: (B, L)
After the morning arrival in Hue we check into our hotel. We go to a restaurant for lunch before boarding our private Dragon Boat on the Perfume River, so named because of the Emperor’s incense burner while establishing the site of the Forbidden City. We make two stops to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda and Tu Duc’s Tomb. That night we sleep in the hotel in Hue.

Day 13: Hue – DMZ: (B, L)
Our tour today is all day in the DMZ – the wartime De-Militarized Zone which separated North and South Vietnam. This area was under constant military surveillance during the war, and the people’s lives were heavily restricted for living and agriculture.
We visit and can walk through the Vinh Moc tunnel complex where people lived underground for years for shelter from air attacks. In the late afternoon we return by coach to our hotel in Hue where we spend the night.

Day 14: Hue – Hoi An: (B, L)
Our coach takes us to Hoi An today. Hoi An is one of the prettiest towns in Vietnam and a multi - cultural trading center from ancient times. We have lunch in a restaurant beside the river before undertaking a heritage walking tour, visiting historic sites of the old quarter and the sprawling marketplace. Hoi An is famous for its tailoring shops and men and women on the tour will be able to have clothes made for them overnight which can be delivered to our hotel before we leave in the next morning.

Day 15: Hoi An Relax: (B)
Today is the relaxing day, you are free to explore Hoi An ancient town on your own as well as relax on Cua Dai beach, go shopping... Over night in Hoi An.

Day 16: Hoi An - Da Nang – Saigon: (B)
Today you can relax and explore the charming old town of Hoi An, then our car will pick you up for a drive to Da Nang 
We will have a short visit to Da Nang city before taking the flight to Saigon. When you arrive in Tan Son Nhat air-port, you will be pick-up and transfer to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
 Day 17: Saigon – Relax: (B)
Today is the relaxing day, so you can relax and explore Saigon city on your own. You can also visit North Dame Cathedral, The Reunification Hall and some Pagodas. Over night in Sai Gon.

Day 18: Saigon - Mekong Delta: (B, L, D)
Pick up at the hotel then transfer to My Tho, get a boat trip along the river, enjoying the daily of the local people, landing on the island to visit local people village, fruits garden. Stop at the local people family to enjoy tropical fruit and listen to traditional music. Taking rowing boat cruise into some small canals to enjoy the scenery of coconut tree forest and mangrove forest. Cruise to another island to visit the bee farm where you will see how people get honey, enjoy honey tea, honey win. After lunch, we cruise to another island to see people make coconut candies in a small local factory. Turn around by boat to see the daily life of local people.
In the afternoon transfer to Can Tho City, arrive in Can Tho 6.00 PM, check in, dinner then stay over night at the hotel.

Day 19: Mekong Delta – Saigon: (B, L)
Early in the morning we take a boat trip to floating market, that is the special thing in the Southern Viet Nam. Cruise into floating market to see how people do business from boat to boat. Land on the local people village to visit a small factory where they make rice noodle and rice paper. Lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon get back to Sai Gon  around 5.00 PM. 
 
Day 20: Saigon departure: (B)


This is the saddest day of all – the day we must say goodbye to our new friends, both local and tour members as we go our separate ways to return to our homes. We receive a group photograph, exchange contact details and catch the car to Tan Son Nhat airport for our flights back home. See you again soon.
