An interesting drive through the rich farmland of the Red River Delta to the Perfume Pagoda - Northern Vietnam’s holiest sites. The Perfume Pagoda is not just one pagoda but many shrines and temples built into a limestone hillside. Take small sampans through a peaceful rural landscape to get to the pagoda complex.

Depart at around 8:00 am from your hotel. It is 2.5 hours road trip to the countryside of Hanoi. We will make few stops for taking photos of rice fields, buffaloes... When you arrive at Yen dock, you will enjoy one hour on a small sampan in the Yen River with the spectacular scenery of mountains, rivers and rice paddies. You will pass by Trinh pagoda then continue to Thien Tru Harbor where you will start trekking to the main Cave pagoda uphill, 2 hours trekking up and 1 hour going down. The visit to this pagoda will give you more understanding of Buddhism in Viet Nam. We will have late lunch near Thien Tru Harbor before continue the visit to the most beautiful Thien Tru pagoda. Enjoy one-hour sampan back then get on the transport back to Hanoi. You will arrive Hanoi around 7:00 pm. End of the trip.
